ABOUT
British theatre company Heart Sleeve Productions was founded by artistic director Milja Fenger and producer Jessica Campbell whilst studying at the University of Oxford. In 2010, Heart Sleeve's first play Erin and Florian received three first prizes in a drama competition in Oxford. In 2011 Heart Sleeve presented the sell-out show Statements after an Arrest (Athol Fugard) and the devised show She was Yellow. The following year, Mephisto by Ariane Mnouchkine ran in the 600-seat Oxford Playhouse. This Heart Sleeve production was chosen by the International Student Drama Festival (ISDF) as one of the 10 best student productions in Britain and was the first Oxford show in 50 years to then be invited to the international festival in Sheffield. The short film The Road Home, which Milja co-wrote with director Rahul Gandotra, won a number of international awards and was shortlisted for the Best Short Film Oscar™ in 2012. Devised show They will be Red To be performed in 2015, Night without Luz is the most recent devised play in the company's repertoire.
The company works with performers from across Europe on collaborative projects filled with music and dance.
